OUR MISSION
The goal of Montana Overlanding is to provide visitors and locals alike with a unique and authentic trip. We want to show how we believe Yellowstone should be experienced. Why rent a normal car and stay in a pricey hotel while visiting a place many consider the epicenter of nature itself? RVs are a great alternative, but very difficult to navigate on Yellowstone's skinny windy roads. Forget pulling over for a picture, and do not expect to find an accessible secluded campsite. For those who seek adventure on another level, but aren't ready to spend their entire vacation sleeping in a ground tent in bear country, we believe we have a solution. Jeeps are the American icon for adventure at the wheel. Add a cozy rooftop tent, cooking supplies, and camp gear to that equation and you get an epic time.
WHY 4X4
As with many of the national parks in America, Yellowstone has been breaking records the last few summers with the number of visitors entering the parks. Yes, all of the roads to, from, and within Yellowstone are paved. But, to escape the crowd, find peace, and truly enjoy your vacation, you must get off the beaten track. Surrounding Yellowstone lies seven national forests with thousands of miles of unmaintained service roads with access to jaw-dropping views and...... free camping! :) These spots cannot be accessed by RVs or large camper vans, which is great for us overlanders seeking solitude. We will provide local maps and do not hesitate to ask us our opinions about our favorite spots.
About the Owner
Aaron Lind has grown up around Jeeps and the outdoors his entire life. He is a third-generation jeep owner in his family, and learned how to drive his first car in his mother's 1995 Jeep Wrangler. After traveling many parts of the world and living in several vehicles Aaron understands the pleasures of owning a car that enables one to drive anywhere and sleep anywhere in comfort. After building some of his overlander rigs in New Zealand and Alaska and exploring Montana since 2010, Aaron wants to give you a piece of his lifestyle.
